Allow 30 minutes to soak the Tuar dal in water. The dal should be cooked first and then set aside. Add a good mount of okra or ladyfinger, bottle gourd, pumpkin, onions and tomatoes to 2 tablespoons of oil to make a mixture and cook. Cook until the dal becomes tender. Add salt and the Prakash Spices Sambhar masala the mixture, followed by thick juice of tamarind and prepared dal. The dal is then cooked for 5 minutes until the taste sets in. For improving taste add some amount of gur(jaggery).Heat 2 tablespoons of oil with 2 to 3 pieces of red chili whole pieces. Half a tablespoon of mustard, quarter tablespoon of fenugreek or methi and curry leaves for a minimum of additional 5 minutes.
